Yashica started in Japan in the earlier part of the century with the initial investment of $566. They started making mechanical parts for watches. Within 4 years of precise mechanical engineering they introduced there first camera, the Yashimaflex. Sweet Lord, we would like one of those.
In 1992 the Yashica T4 multi-coated Carl Zeiss lens, fixed at 35mm hit the market at the budget price of 130 bucks.
